Your Mind Is Lying to You — Here’s Proof

Most people never question it. That’s the trap.

Been there too?

There was a period of three months during which I posted every day.
Studied the algorithm.
Crafted carousels.
Skipped nights out. Stayed consistent.

But still… nothing.
No growth. No feedback. Just silence.

And in that silence, the self-doubt got loud.

I remember refreshing my insights, thinking,
“Is this broken… or am I?”

That’s when the voice crept in:

“You’re not cut out for this.”
“Maybe this isn’t for you.”
“Be honest… you’re wasting your time.”

But here’s what I’ve learned since:

That voice?
Wasn’t the truth.
It was just fear, masquerading as logic.

Your brain wants comfort, not clarity

🧠 Your mind’s job is survival, not success.
It wants comfort. Control. Safety.

So every time you try to grow,
it fights you — not because you’re wrong…
but because you’re leaving the comfort zone it’s addicted to.

Even if staying the same is destroying your potential.

Try this when the spiral hits

Here’s the 3-step loop that saved me more than once:

1. Catch the thought

“I’m falling behind.”
“Everyone else is further than me.”

2. Question the source

“Where did this belief come from?”
“Whose definition of ‘behind’ am I using?”

3. Take the action your fear is trying to block

Post anyway.
Launch it messy.
Hit send. Move forward.

The truth no one told us

Confidence doesn’t come first.
Courage does.

And courage means doing it before you're ready.
While the voice is still talking.
While you still feel unsure.

If that voice is in your head today…
telling you you're not ready,
that you're behind,
that it’s too late —

It’s lying.

You’re not behind.
You’re not broken.
You’re building.
One bold, imperfect step at a time.
